Unknown Cimbicid Sawfly - Trichiosoma triangulum
Craggy Gardens, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA
July 25, 2009
Don't have an accurate size but it was larger than a yellow jacket on the same bush honeysuckle.

Moved
Moved from Cimbicid Sawflies.

Cimbicidae
Trichiosoma triangulum. Abia does not have such long pale hairs or elongaged hind legs. Not sure what this was doing on honeysuckle.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Cimbicid sawfly
family Cimbicidae... honeysuckle is a host for Abia.

Thanks
