 Ichneumon Wasps (Ichneumonidae)?

Ichneumon Wasps (Ichneumonidae)?
Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina, USA
September 4, 2005
I found this little bugger flying around the house. He landed behind the kitchen sink, under the window sill. I coaxed him onto a piece of paper so I could get a better picture of it. I've seen a few of them flying around outside the windows, but this one seemed like it wanted it's picture taken. Looking through the bees and wasps images, I thought it might be a Ichneumon Wasps (Ichneumonidae). Anyone have any ideas?

Ichneumon.
It is indeed an ichneumon.

Pretty!
Never seen one like that before. Eric do you know what species it is?
