Interesting mixed-species image!

The Polistes is a male
Very good to see them all getting along, especially since D. maculata are known to prey on honey bees and yellowjackets. I guess it is a good thing that they are no longer worried about protein!

Please see my comment about the honey bees under your other image. It is very intriguing

 
This is interesting consideri
This is interesting considering I was watching a D. maculata hunting and killing other smaller species earlier-but NOT near the feeding station.

Mixing it up
Some of those diners don't look like honeybees!

 
I know there is a Bald-faced,
I know there is a Bald-faced, A Paper Wasp and a some yellow jackets but the honey bees just showed up today. Nice to see them getting along though.
