Azalea caterpillar (Datana major)? - Datana major

Azalea caterpillar (Datana major)? - Datana major
Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina, USA
September 11, 2003
This little acrobat was doing tricks on our Azalea bush last year, I had to squeeze in between the house and the overgrown bush to get to it. This year the bush was covered in them. Am I right in saying it's a Azalea caterpillar (Datana major)?

Datana
Datana, yes. I'm thinking is a ministra. The major caterpillars are white or yellow with black stripes.
