When I opened this old rosette or bunch gall probably made by
Rhopalomyia solidaginis I found a lot of frass and what seemed to be remnants of coccoon shells and a number of these tiny wasps, identified by Dr. Netta Dorchin as a gregarious parasitic wasp in the same genus as some pupae I found recently in a different type of gall.
