Hopper Unknown - Hippiscus ocelote - female

Hopper Unknown - Hippiscus ocelote - Female
Mayflower, Bell Slough, Faulkner County, Arkansas, USA
Size: 35- 40 mm
Really large and chunky grasshopper. Broad. I saw it jump but not fly. Leopard colored.

Wrinkled Grasshopper?
Maybe Hippiscus ocelote? See guide page.

Hippiscus ocelote.
The lack of color on the inside of the hind femur eliminates other genera like Pardalophora (which tend to be summer, not autumn species anyway). Great shot!
