Size: ~4 mm long
The underside (venter) of Chilocorus kuwanae shows a red abdomen with black head and thorax. This feature can be used to separate it from the similar species C. cacti and C. tumidus (mostly red or yellow venter) and Axion plagiatum (black abdomen).
