Adirondak NY Spider - Dolomedes scriptus

Adirondak NY Spider - Dolomedes scriptus
Keene Valley, Adirondaks County, New York, USA
August 11, 2009
Size: 2" +?, could not measure
I took this with my Nikkor 18-70dx, which is not a macro lens. I was on a hike and found this large spider, with egg sac attached, on a rock near a pond near Beaver Meadow Falls in the Adirondaks of NY state. The spider did not move while I was taking my pictures.
