Tachinidae
This does look like a tachinid although it is an odd color. As suggested, it could be an Archytas with an odd reflection...really need a different view (side of head) to be sure.

Metallic Tachinidae?
I wonder if this is a metallic tachinid.

A secondary character in Terry Whitworth's key distinguishing other families from Calliphoridae is the arista -- it is bare in most non-Calliphoridae, setose in most Calliphoridae.

I concur
This is a tachinid fly, probably an Archytas with the pale scales worn off most of the thorax.

Thanks John and Eric...
...as always, appreciate the help.

Another image
Would the 2nd image, very tightly cropped, help shed any additional light?

Cropping
In the future please start with the properly cropped images, it will help speed things up, and only you and the editors can see your full-sized images.
