This is a leaf footed bug, right? I'm guessing a female?

That looks JUST like it.
I was going to guess Piezogaster calcarator because last time I had one of these things identified on BugGuide, that's what it was. Much bigger thighs on that one though. I guess I have two different leaf footed bugs in the goldenrod patch. :-)

 
Male Euthochtha.
The prize goes to Joe, who guessed Euthochtha galeator. Takes some practice to differentiate the two, but males of this genus lake the "crook" in the hind tibiae.

I would think with those "fancy pants" and "white boots" it would be a girl. Oh well. :-)
