Colpotrochia Holmgren 1856
Identification
All species have yellow scapes and a black head. Species are separated as follows:

1. Colpotrochia crassipes - areolet absent, hind femur black, abdomen black with the first segment entirely yellow and bands on all following segments
2. Colpotrochia fultoni - areolet present, mesoscutum with parallel yellow lines down the middle each forming an anterior hook and following the lateral margin to the posterior, hind femur yellow, propodeum yellow, abdomen with the first segment entirely yellow and subsequent segments predominantly yellow with dark banding
3. Colpotrochia trifasciata - areolet absent, hind femur black, abdomen black with yellow bands on only the first 3 segments (and occasionally margin of 4th)
4. Colpotrochia texana - areolet present, hind femur yellow above, abdomen black with yellow bands on all segments
