Anybody take a stab at this one? It's on a sedge leaf next to a small pond in a forest.

Interesting thread on the bubbling phenomenon. I'd wondered if the fly had sucked the moisture out of the nearby sedge stalk it was on before flying to the leaf, and was in the process of drinking it. Next time I see it I'll try to spend more time observing.
