Beetle? - Rosalia funebris

Beetle? - Rosalia funebris
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
July 15, 2004
Size: about 3+cm w/antenna
Turquoise and black in color. Found on upperdeck of patio. All I was told about this is that it is 'probably' harmless.

Would be a good addition to our guide pages
- we have very few images, and none from your state. You can move it yourself by tagging it, then navigating to image page here and selecting "move tagged images."
Welcome to BugGuide, by the way! An excellent first submission - hope there'll be more!

I'm totally envious.
What a handsome insect! And a very nice photo of it as well.

Looks Like.......

Longhorned Beetle
This is a longhorned beetle, family Cerambycidae, and a fine looking one at that! I am sure someone will be able to give you an exact species.
