Dictyopharid from California - Orgerius

Dictyopharid from California - Orgerius
Briones Regional Park, Contra Costa County, California, USA
September 27, 2009
Size: 8 mm
Found along a trail running through some mixed oak / chaparral. I'm confident this a dictyopharid planthopper, but I'd appreciate some help with genus and/or species. Orgerius seems a likely candidate, given the photos here of similar looking dictyopharids from Contra Costa county.

I'm not an expert of any kind, so feel free to wait for further confirmation, but I'm almost certain that this is one of the species of Orgerius:

Someone else confirmed that ID a few weeks ago, but I'm not an editor so I don't think I can move it within BugGuide. Yours is so cool looking!

You can move your own images!
Only editors have the power to move other people's images, but you can certainly move your own images if you are fairly certain of the ID. I can do it for you if you want, but if you'd like to try and do it yourself, here's how:

1) On your post, just above the thumbnails, you should see a link that says "tag all". Click on that and you will see that all your images for this post are now displayed in a column on the left side of the page.

2) Now, navigate to the spot in the guide that you wish to move the images. In this case, that would be here. Make sure that you are on the "Images" page and are not instead viewing the "Info" page.

3) If you are on the correct page, you should see a link that says "move tagged images" at the top of the page. Click on that, and your tagged images should move from the column on the left side of the page to the correct spot in the guide.

Good luck! Let me know if you have any trouble, OK?

Thanks, Harsi! Images moved / tagged.

Moved from ID Request. Your images will be more likely to be seen by the right person here.
