Size: ~8 mm
Not a great photo and therefore unlikely identifiable to genus, but the setting was so unique that I could not resist posting it anyway. Lone individual swimming in small urban puddle with rainwater from a only few days earlier. Area of pond less than 1 square meter. See habitat photo.

I think things like this are far more remarkable than vernal ponds.
