I had self-identified this as a female Twelve-spotted. However, I came across this picture of a female whitetail and wonder if that's what mine is.

Yep, Common Whitetail. A female Twelve-spotted would have a somewhat more slender abdomen, and the pale lines on the sides would be continuous, not broken like this one.

I'm sure I counted 12 spots, took a quick peek at a field guide picture and made my ID. I wonder if I made the same mistake on another one, which I'll be posting shortly.
