Phyllophaga timida Horn
Note that two other look alikes occur in AZ: mimicana (from along the river north of Nogales), and snowi, rarer and fairly widespread, but generally a little higher altitude than Sonoran desert where the more common timida occurs (snowi is more common in desert grasslands, but I have taken it at Green Valley). Examination of the male genitalia are needed to tell for sure, but generally snowi is a bit lighter and more pruinose on the abdomen.
