My guess
my guess would be
Thyanta sp.
.
Many show the pale, somewhat granular spotting of the elytra.

what a lovely bug!
I am not sure which it is, but I am guessing it is not an adult and is a late instar nymph. Hope someone can I.D. for you! Great pic!

Superb.
I agree with the compliment on the specimen (and photographer:-), but disagree with the nymph diagnosis. This is indeed an adult. Shouldn't be too hard to ID given its unique form.

Check this out:
Biprorulus bibax- Spined Citrus Bug
. If you google the scientific name, most of the refs are in Australia, but there are several scholarly studies from Universities in the USA, so I suspect it could be a pest here, too. This or something very like it, anyway.
I found this by googling "green stink bug florida spines" which led me to google "citrus stink bug" then "citrus stink bug" then "spined citrus bug." The awesome power of Google. May not be right, but it's a good solid guess, I hope you'll agree! Yours is prettier than the image I found, though.

Thank you
for searching, looks like you are getting pretty close. I found something else, but no info, only when I put my cursor over the image it say's Scottish pentatomid, I searched that, but did not come up with anything of use.
