Maybe Yellow-striped Armyworm,
but a little dark to see for certain.

But the moth it turns into is very dull. I was hoping it was some more attractive moth.

I almost wish the sycamore tussock caterpillar didn't turn into a moth, it's such a wonderfully furry little creature with its Billy Idol hair. I've got some beautiful cross-striped cabbageworms that are about to pupate and they've used up all the gorgeous they've got. Well, at least dull coloration helps the adults survive so they can reproduce and create more cool caterpillars.
