Peter is very busy these days but he dropped me the following note regarding this matter:

The introduced Calosoma syncophanta is strictly northeastern USA plus WA. That image needs to be moved to genus page for another expert to ponder. The sycophanta group includes Calosoma aurocinctum limited to TX. It has an intriguing name that could fit here = "golden girdle". [End of quote]

Thanks, Gayle, for your vigilance. I believe that Peter's suggestion is correct and strongly supported by locality. I moved the image to the C. aurocinctum page. =v=
