Beetle larva
I would guess this is some sort of beetle larva. Hopefully someone else can confirm that, and maybe recognize the type of beetle. The colorful red-orange markings should help the identification.

 
Glowworm?
I suspect this is a glowworm. Did you notice if it lit up?:-) Glowworms glow in the intersegmental membranes so they look like a worm encircled in halos of light. Female glowworms retain the larval appearance but are sexually mature and have compound eyes. So, I'm guessing a larva, or larviform female, of a glowworm (family Phengodidae). Neat find!
