Stink Bug - Thyanta custator

Stink Bug - Thyanta custator
Shirley, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
October 4, 2009
Size: 9mm

from Joe Eger:
"The bug in the photo is a Thyanta. The coloration is common on overwintering forms. This could be either T. custator or T. calceata. It looks like T. custator to me and should be T. custator accerra based on the locality."

(he was answering my Q whether this is a Thyanta: the pattern on the connexivia looked unusual to me. =v=)
