Here's a still from a video I took of him on the tree I released him on - which is the same type of conifer I found him on (a juniper? I'm not familar with tree types...) and he seemed to blend in quite well. Does anyone know what types of trees P. mystaceus are usually found on?
(I know it's not very tightly cropped, sharp, or easy to spot the jumper - but I thought this shot would be of some value in terms of habitat)
I've been searching literally for 3 years now for one of these little guys! What beautiful markings and coloration these males have!
Found on a small conifer in Cleveland county, Oklahoma, on Spetember 26th, 2009.
I'm pretty positive he's an adult male Phidippus mystaceus, but I thought I should at least get a second opinion before moving these photos to the guide page.
