Candidates
Typical candidates for high elevation grasshoppers in the Pacific Northwest include Trimerotropis and Circotettix. A lateral (side view) shot is much more helpful for identification, as is noting the color of the hind tibia ("shin" joint on hind leg) and color of the hind wings in flight (yellow? blue? clear?). This image may elude identification without those additional details. Lastly, behavior can be a clue. Did it hover in flight? Make a lot of noise in flight?....

These grasshoppers made a lot
These grasshoppers made a lot of noise in flight. I'll check my notes for the other field characters.
