Size: 1/4-inch
Exploding population on annual cleome and zinnia flower plants. Over 200 and all have one or the other of these two markings - stripes or pattern.

Not Beetles.
Harlequin Bugs. The two on the right are adults, and the two on the left with stripes are nymphs that have not yet developed their wings. They can be quite a pest. Here's a little info:
