According to Dunkle (1) pg. 240 - the juvenile male Black Setwing has a thorax with a HII or HIY pattern of brown lateral stripes and also has a metallic-violet forehead.
The Swift Setwing has a thoracic pattern of YIY and a nonmetallic forehead.
