Western Spotted Cucumber Beetle - Diabrotica undecimpunctata

Western Spotted Cucumber Beetle - Diabrotica undecimpunctata
Enumclaw, Forested Unincorporated King County, Washington, USA
October 1, 2009
Size: 10mm
I found it near another beetle of the same kind and both where on dandelions in the middle of the field. It has the characteristic eleven spots...or twelve if you're counting them while the elytra are open for flight. I know they are destructive little guys, but they are nice to look at.

I'm pretty sure that yours could be filed under the Western Spotted Cucumber Beetle subspecies, least by the data map at any rate. I don't know if there's anything visual to separate them. Here's a link to the map - Western Spotted Cucumber Beetle

Yes!
I believe you are right. Thanks!
