Bolbocerosoma confusum

Bolbocerosoma confusum
Wichita, Chisholm Creek Park, Sedgwick County, Kansas, USA
October 6, 2009
Size: 13mm
One of the kids on a nature hike found this in the grass. Considering it's coloration, shape and the time of year it was found, I would humbly submit that it ought to be called the Halloween Scarab, if that name is not already taken!
