Black Spider - Leucauge venusta

Black Spider - Leucauge venusta
Range, Conecuh County, Alabama, USA
October 8, 2009
Size: thorax to abdomen 1.5 cm
These small spiders are everywhere in abundance. We've not been bothered heretofore with these spiders, but after the terrific hurricane season 5 years ago these have taken over. They build a web in open spaces, are not aggressive, and don't seem to get any larger. This one is shown about three times its normal size. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks to
John, Jane, and Andrew. These are getting to be real pests. I've also seen them with a yellow or white smile. Many appreciations for the ID. dARRYL

No, venusta is the only one
with that big orange smile!

looks like Orchard Orbweaver - Leucauge venusta
I think there's another spider with similar looking bottom, so best to see if other people agree to be safe.
