Monoleuca - Monoleuca semifascia - female

Monoleuca - Monoleuca semifascia - Female
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA
This is Monoleuca semifasciata I presume... I don't know of any other SC species in this genus... no guide page for this one

Yes
I would say I am sure enough to comfirm it as Hodges #4691 -- Pin-striped Slug Moth -- Monoleuca semifascia. Here is a link to ID it.

I belive I would create the genus and species page under Family Limacodidae. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Pin-striped Slug Moth
I agree; the wavy white band is distinctive, and there is no other Monoleuca species on the list for South Carolina.
Image moved from Moths section to new species page.
