Aphids Plus

Aphids Plus
Alameda County, California, USA
October 9, 2009
Underside of pole-bean leaf, with black aphids and-- and-- and unidentified beige things.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Yes, I think this is the best place for images of aphid mummies when there is little hope of identifying the aphid species.

Kind of interesting...
Apparently Aphidius colemani, A. matricariae, and A. ervi are all sold commercially as biological control agents.

The Beige critters....
are mummified aphids which were parasitized by tiny wasps.

Strange
So aphids have parasitoids! Should the photo go to Aphidiinae?
