What do you guys think of
157994 (too big?) or 81456?

We have had several of these Araneus
with orange-brown humped shoulders, but haven't identified them yet. Hoping yours will help. We'll keep you posted on our ID work.

My quickly considered hunch (east coast, shoulders, folium beneath) would be A. nordmanni, but that's only a hunch.

6 mm - A. washingtoni?
If this is an adult female, which time of year would suggest, I think it might be A. washingtoni. Description.. carapace brown, abdomen with anterolateral humps, brownish, with off-white mesal marks ateriorly, and with dark patch posteriorly. Female, 6 mm. Venter of abdomen black with paired white bracket-shaped bands.

 
Yeah, I see that Dondale et a
Yeah, I see that Dondale et al's size given for nordmanni is 11mm +- 2... and the coloration of washingtoni would also fit better. Sounds like you've got a good case to me. (Sure would be nice to see a couple more views of this specimen.)

I've posted another view of the back end, no ventral shot available. I went back and looked for her today, but she's gone. The 6 mm length is only an estimate. Thanks for all your comments.
