Gomphus descriptus? - Female
Beaver Lake Nature Center near Baldwinsville, NY, Onondaga County, New York, USA
June 20, 2009
Size: @ 2"
I thought this might be a freshly emerged specimen as it was quite still with wings held closely together. Although it was in a park on a small lake, this was seen on a trail separating meadow from mixed woods quite some distance from any water. My initial thought was Harpoon Clubtail female. Any opinions?
