Unknown Insect - Porcellio spinicornis

Size: 8-10 millimeters long
Know I've seen these around rotting/dead wood,I know their abundant.Very primative looking, can anyone identify or give any info on them?
Never seen another photograph of these,find them fascinating,
as well gruesome ugly(to me) lol

it's a pillbug
Yup, that's a little pillbug (Armadillidium nasatum) I've also heard them called roly-poly bugs, on account of the way they roll up into a ball (like an armadillo -- see the latin name?) when they're threatened.

...Actually a terrestrial crustacean! This is an isopod from the family Oniscidae, better known as the sowbugs.

...that cap,or rectangular plate on their head? please tell me that isn't covered in tiny eye's?!!
if those are, I'm fricken moving out of this house!!!
thinking back I think I'm glad I didn't catch it's "face" although interesting would probilly keep me up all night with nightmares and a spotlight
