not known from CA, but those things are easily spread by man...

the pronotum is coarsely punctate rather than granulate... i so hope you saved the specimen!

Yes, the specimen is still at CSUN -
I'll check it out when I have time, & will take a close-up of the pronotum.
Update Aug. 18, '11: took a look at the specimen today, and its clearly punctate, thus
O. cribricollis
.
I've looked at some other specimens, including some that seem to be
cribricollis
. Will post some photos later.

because it lacks spines on the femora and confluent granukles on the pronotum.
