A Total Blank - Cerastipsocus venosus

A Total Blank - Cerastipsocus venosus
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
October 10, 2009
I was in a foolish hurry taking this and presumed without looking closely that it was a Delphacid because I had spotted something else as interesting. I have a photo from the mid-90s of one of these laying eggs. I never did identify it, then, either. Photo taken late afternoon, rather warmish, very high humidity but otherwise dry for a change.

Wow...
..what a fabulous looking bug! Great photos.

All the credit goes
to the bug for the photos. I didn't even know what I was shooting to tell the truth.
