Bembix - Microbembex monodonta - Female
Toadsuck beach, AR River, Perry County, Arkansas, USA
October 10, 2005
Size: 12-14mm
On sand. Nectaring intermittently. I think this may be the local subspecies of Bembix americana which whould be spinolae I guess. Can't be sure. We have another subspecies in the guide already. There are quite a few local Bembix species.

Moved
Moved from Bembix.

Microbembex?
I don't think this is a Bembix. Just a gut feeling, don't know what characters I can give to justify it....Definitely right subfamily, probably right tribe. Great image!

yes Eric

note slender body and maculation pattern
