My S. grossa captive couple produced an egg sack on September 4th (my birthday!) and the spiderlings emerged on October 14th.

BTW, do you have a camera with any kind of lens threads at all? I might have a close-up converter that I would be willing to part with that would possibly help with your close-ups.

Camera
Well, I'm using fairly cheap, primitive equipment that works great for everyday photos but not for bug macros. :( I have a Canon Powershot A540 with a conversion and closeup lens. It's a very compact camera. I'm not sure if anything other than the few lenses that Canon offers will fit. When the conversion lens is attached, there are threads though.
