Goldenrod gall fauna. Pedicellate galls - Asphondylia - female

Goldenrod gall fauna. Pedicellate galls - Asphondylia - Female
Horsham trail. Horsham, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
Size: +/- 3 mm
Several midges emerged from the goldenrod pedicellate flower galls that I kept in water. However there must have been other galls mixed with them as the midges do not belong to these galls but to different ones. The species has not been described yet.
I found them on October first and they were dead, so I don't know the exact date of emergence.

Identified by Dr. Netta Dorchin.

Sternite 7
Asphondylia females should have sternite 7 very long. I don't see that here.
