Coreid nymph - Acanthocephala terminalis

Coreid nymph - Acanthocephala terminalis
Pelham, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
August 12, 2004
After browsing through images of coreid adults, my impression is this must be some kind of Leptoglossus...

Moved
Moved from True Bugs. Note how expansion of the hind tibia begins at the femoral joint. This is not true in Leptoglossus.

Don't think so.
Reminds me more of Acanthocephala though, oddly, I don't think I've ever seen nymphs of that genus.....
