Parasitic wasps in goldenrod bunch gall - Platygaster - female

Parasitic wasps in goldenrod bunch gall - Platygaster - Female
Horsham trail. Horsham, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA
October 20, 2009
Size: 1.5 mm.
This image is slightly better than the ones I submitted last month. Also, it is interesting that it kept sticking its ovipositor in and out, repeatedly. They were packed among the leaves of the goldenrod bunch gall and began wandering about when I opened the gall. I wonder if they spend the whole winter there. IDed by Netta Dorchin.
