Pending Doom - Mimetus
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
October 20, 2009
I wish I could tell you how this story ends for this Celery Leaftier Moth (Hodges #5079). Unfortunately, I did not notice the impending doom until I was viewing photos on the monitor. The spider was in the deep shadows, so there is not a lot of detail, but looks like one of the Lynx spiders.

Spider
Not a Lynx spider. I can't be sure what it is because it's a pretty small image. However, it reminds me of Mimetus?

Now I Think About It
This spider is much larger than a Lynx, considering the moth is approx. 20mm. I'll crop the spider from the RAW file and look for more detail.
