I have a 9 week old baby and need to know if this spider is dangerous. My dog found it in my room.

Not dangerous
I'm not sure what this is. It might be a nursery web spider of some kind. It is not a recluse and not a widow. I think it's harmless and should just be returned outside. This spider is a male, and they often wander to look for mates.

Edit: Another possibility is a false wolf spider, like Zoropsis spinimana. Also not dangerous.

Appears to have the markings of a false wolf spider
I'm only a bug newbie, but it definitely looks very similar to the false wolf spider I saw last week in Mountain View. Perhaps they are out and about indoors at this time of year.

Don't worry
It's not a widow and it's not a recluse. Like most spiders it has enough venom to be temporarily painful, but not enough to do any real harm. And although pretty much all of the human race live with spiders around them their whole lives, bites are rare.

It's just a male spider wandering around in search of females to mate with. If it's still alive, just put it outside and you'll probably never see it again
