Flutter Fly parasite

Flutter Fly parasite
Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, USA
September 11, 2009
I was trying to get better photos of this little Flutter Fly (Toxonevra spp), and didn't notice the ectoparasite until seeing the photos on the computer. This fly was a little smaller than usual, not sure if this is a sexual difference, or due to the parasite.

Thanks, Ken
So, just travelin', not a parasite.
