Silkmoth cat - Polyphemus or Luna? - Antheraea polyphemus

Silkmoth cat - Polyphemus or Luna? - Antheraea polyphemus
Perth, Lanark, Ontario, Canada
October 24, 2009
Size: 8cm
Found just above eye-level on the trunk of an old maple tree in our yard. Doesn't seem to show evidence of either vertical yellow lines through the spiracles, or a horizontal yellow line below them. Are there other field marks useful for telling Polyphemus apart from Luna?

Sorry about the darkness of the image; it was an overcast day and the cat was above my head, this was the best shot I could get.

This is a Polyphemus moth larva Antheraea polyphemus, even though the side markings are lacking, the polyphemus has that distinct 'V' shaped anal plate, while lunas have one resembling its head.

Thanks
I figured there was probably something else that would help distinguish them. Thanks for your help!
