spider - Parasteatoda tepidariorum - Female
near Paoli, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
October 24, 2009
Spider found on a garage door with pea-sized egg sac. I wasn't able to get an eye shot as the spider dropped down to the ground when I lifted it up using a leaf.

Parasteatoda tepidariorum
Seems like a common American House Spider. Especially the egg sac and the habitat. I'm 96% sure it's a Parasteatoda tepidariorum. They aren't a threat to humans.

House Spider
I agree with your identification. Don't worry -- I'm not one of those people who gets all freaked out by spiders.

I'm glad you like spiders
:)
