Size: 5mm
A tiny fly, maybe a bibionid, sitting on a dead maple leaf, on a warm fall day.

Moved from ID Request. Bibio longipes or B. slossonae. Females are easier to tell apart. Males have a difference in hair color that doesn't show up clearly on camera.
