Hopped onto our citrus tree from our neighbor's yard when I was out photographing birds.

Is it a pest?

Moved from ID Request.

Looks to me like
another Western Conifer Seed Bug.

They're harmless. Just coming in to escape the cold.

Careful...
Being extra careful after finding an exotic Coreid that I had to send to CA Agriculture folk:

Some Coreids are harmful to citrus - Louisiana has a Coreid problem.

And it was outside in 85 degree weather - not "coming in to escape the cold"...

85 degrees...
Cold is relative... haha, sorry bout that, I didn't bother to really read the description- these guys are coming inside in a lot of the northern states, so that's what I thought was going on here too- My bad!

:)

i agree with Andrew Meeds
We're looking at a Western Conifer Seed Bug which is harmless to people, and plants.

Thanks to you both...
Glad it is harmless :)
