Agile Meadow Katydid - Orchelimum agile - Female

This apparent Agile Meadow Katydid was ovipositing into a grass stem alongside the Wetlands at the Museum of Life + Science, Durham, NC. Identification was based on face color and oviositor shape/size.

Nice catch!
I did not notice (until now) that you actually caught this one in the act of oviposition--very good.
