Day 35, webby nest

Day 35, webby nest
Alameda County, California, USA
October 27, 2009
The caterpillars often rest between or under leaves, with or without webbing. This one wasn't fussy about surroundings or concealment. It made a shelter between a buddleia leaf and the side of the fishtank. It's been in there for two days, at least in the daytime.
